RajKumar Hirani who has made a number of successful films with Vidhu Vinod Chopra, such as ‘PK’ (2014), ‘3 Idiots’ (2009) and ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S’ (2003) franchise, is all set to go independent as a producer for his next.
Reported on Deccan Chronicle, Hirani is due to make an announcement about his next film relatively soon. A source shared, “His script has been ready for a while and this time he will be going solo as a producer and not in cahoots with Vinod Chopra. He has spoken to some actors from the industry to be a part of this film and they are keen to work with him.”
A few months back, the ‘Sanju’ (2018) director was embroiled in the #MeToo controversy and in turn his name was removed from ‘Ek Ladki Toh Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ (2019). Despite this, many of his friends he had worked with in the industry showed support towards the filmmaker.
