Rajkumar Hirani & Ranbir Kapoor in talks for Sanjay Dutt biopic

If reports are to be believed it has been confirmed now that Ranbir Kapoor is to play actor Sanjay Dutt on the big screen in a biopic based on his life.

It is to be produced by Rajkumar Hirani, Times of India reported a source stating, “The writing of the project has begun. Raju and Ranbir are excited to work together and are in regular touch.”

Currently in the midst of shooting ‘P.K.’, Hirani had planned on making his next ‘Munnabhai’ instalment. However due to Dutt’s 42 month jail sentence, which commenced last year, the producer has had to put aside the project.

It’s well known that Dutt and Kapoor share a great rapport, and with a project like this Kapoor will definitely be reaching new heights.
