Everyone knows about Rajkumar Hirani directing Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, but what’s come to light is Hirani made 40 trips to Dutt’s house.

Director Hirani and writer Abhijat Joshi had come up with the idea of Dutt’s biopic after they heard his life anecdotes. However, to get a real insight to the actor’s life, they had to visit his house more than they intended.

According to reports, they had to make 40 trips to Dutt’s house and it involved listening to stories about how it all started for Dutt, his anxieties, and his drug abuse. However, for Hirani and Joshi, it proved to be a difficult research process.
