Rajinikanth wants to postpone ‘Kaala’ release?

With his last few films not having fared well at the box office, it comes to no surprise that legendary actor Rajinikanth, wants to push back the release of his upcoming ‘Kaala’.

According to reports, the actor feels the film hasn’t had a lot of promotional gain it needs. “The Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council, headed by Vishal, will have to have the final say in the date as they have been allotting dates for all films that have been pushed behind due to the strike. Rajini sir is keen that the film be promoted properly and that there is more buzz around the film,” Asian Age reports a source stating.

The film is originally set to hit the big screens on 7th June, however, it is now being considered to release on either 6th July or 22nd July.

The film had also recently run into some legal issues where they had to drop the second part of their title from ‘Kaala Karkalan’ to just ‘Kaala’, due to the second part being associated with another social group.
