Rajinikanth to promote ‘2.0’ with Akshay Kumar?

It’s no secret tat Rajinikanth has always been one big star who has stayed away from film promotions, believing that the films trailer should be enough to get audiences to the cinema. However, with his forthcoming release ‘2.0’ also starring Akshay Kumar holding India’s biggest film budget of Rs 510 crores, it looks like he may have to make an exception.

According to Deccan Chronicle, the makers of the film want Rajinikanth to join Kumar for the film’s promotional activities, in order to raise as much awareness about the film in order to meet their revenue. “So far, Rajini sir hasn’t agreed to do combined media interactions with Mr Akshay Kumar. But he may soon come around, as he knows 2.0 is crucial to his career,” a source was reported revealing.

Adding pressure to the situation, there has been news that ‘2.0’ could be in major competition with the Sylvester Stallone starrer ‘Creed 2’. It looks like Rajinikanth may have no choice but to join Kumar for this one.
