Rajinikanth injured during ‘2.0’ shoot

Superstar Rajinikanth has reportedly met with an accident whilst shooting for his latest film ‘2.0’ earlier today.

According to Bollywood Life, the mishap happened during the shoot, whilst doing a sequence Rajinikanth tripped as he was climbing a fleet of stairs and injured his leg. He was rushed to hospital and checked out by doctors and luckily the 65 year old didn’t fracture his leg, but has been advised to rest before commencing shoot again.

The ‘Andha Kanoon’ (1983) actor, has been working tirelessly with the rest of the ‘2.0’ cast – Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson, in order to meet the schedule of a Diwali 2017 release.

The film will see Rajinikanth play the hero, whilst Kumar is taking on the role of the villain. It’s a sequel to the blockbuster ‘Enthiran’ (2010),  and is helmed by director Shankar Shanmugan once again.

‘2.0’ is making headlines for being one of the most expensive sci-fi films to date, with an estimated budget of Rs 400 crores! The film is also going to be released in six languages – Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, English, Japanese and Chinese.
