Rajinikanth confirms budget of ‘2.0’ nearly Rs. 600 crore

Rajinikanth’s massive release ‘2.0’ has been touted as being one of the most expensive films of the year. The film’s budget has taken over headlines and rumors with eccentric price quotes have done the rounds. At the trailer release, Rajinikanth confirmed the film’s budget to be almost Rs. 600 crore, and thanked the producers for backing it. ‘2.0’ is produced by ‘Lyca Productions’ and directed by the popular Shankar.

Rajinikanth said, “Mark my words, the film will be a super hit. Advance wishes to Shankar and Lyca Productions. Nearly Rs. 600 crore has been spent on the film. The film wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Lyca. This is not a Rajinikanth film. The money has been spent on one man Shankar, who has never failed to entertain audiences. This is his vision and I laud Lyca Productions for backing him,” as according to Mid-Day.

‘2.0’ releases on 29th November, and also stars Akshay Kumar.
