Rajesh Roshan to signs nephew Hrithik Roshan for debut production

With the rumours doing the rounds as to who will be cast in music composer Rajesh Roshan’s debut project as a producer, BizAsia can confirm that he is conjuring up a role for nephew Hrithik Roshan.

Being an established composer, Roshan has decided to take the plunge and set his foot into filmmaking. Having mostly worked with family, it’s no surprise that this new step will be any different. “Yes, I�۪m writing a cameo for Hrithik. It won�۪t be just for the sake of it, but will be a demand of the script and his space in the film will be justified. The part will suit his personality. He can�۪t just stand in the frame and walk away,” Hindustan Times reported the producer explaining.

There was much debate surrounding Roshan signing actress Madhuri Dixit-Nene after the offer was turned down by Sridevi. However, putting these rumours to rest Roshan confirmed, “It�۪s just a rumour. I haven�۪t signed any actress as of now. Also, the script demands a younger girl, so I will cast someone according to their availability.”

As the script is being finalised, Roshan reveals, “My script is a love triangle. It�۪s being worked on right now. If we get the right star cast, then we will go ahead with it this year.”
