RAJAR Results: Boost for digital radio
Today’s RAJAR results have revealed that over a fifth of all radio listening is now digital ��� such as through a DAB set or a digital TV service.
They reveal that 17.7 million people now tune in to radio via a digital set each week, up from 15.9 million this time last year.
The research, from the Radio Joint Audience Research (RAJAR), found that DAB set ownership has also increased by 14% over the past 12 months. More than 16.5 million people now live in a household which has a DAB receiver.

Radio listening via a mobile phone is also continuing to grow steadily.
The figures reveal that in the last quarter 6.9 million listeners tuned in this way ��� up by half a million from the same time last year.
