Sunrise Radio led Breakfast show in Asian London to December 2013

Sunrise Radio’s Breakfast show presented by Andy Gill not only remained the King of commercial Asian radio in London but also got the best ever figures during his time there.

Gill, who is also known as Danny Deol, joined the station a year ago and has seen a steady increase. While, Q3 of 2013, he could only add 10,000 new listeners, this time around, he has lured in 36,000 new listeners. The Breakfast show on Sunrise Radio is now listened to 184,000 listeners (up from 148,000 listeners). Another point to note, the show in question has added 100,000 new listeners since a year ago – The show was listened to by just 84,000 in Q4/12.

Buzz Radio’s Breakfast show, which at the time was presented by Mentor brought in 41,000 listeners – that’s up by 14,000 in the previous quarter. It has also added just 1,000 new listeners when compared to this time last year.

Kismat Radio, which has been broadcasting Sikh religious in the Breakfast slot was being listened to by 29,000 listeners – up by 2,000 listeners in the previous quarter. It has also added 8,000 new listeners from a year ago.
