RAJAR: Q2/14 London Breakfast shows data

The reporting of data for Asian radio stations in London were impacted by change of management and brand names during Q2 of 2014.

According to official data from RAJAR for Q2/14, Sunrise Radio recorded the highest ever listening figures on 963AM and 972AM and this also translated on the station’s breakfast show. The station delivered a weekly reach of 320,000 listeners – the highest for any Asian radio station in the two frequencies. Sunrise Radio’s Breakfast show hosted by Andy Gill pulled in 141,000 listeners.

In the previous quarter, during the transition of management changes – the Breakfast show with Gill could only muster in 41,000 listeners. The show has added 100,000 new listeners. It will be interesting to see how the show progresses here on as it once pulled in 184,000 listeners on the old Sunrise Radio frequency 1458AM.

Data for BBC Asian Network, Lyca Media’s Radio 1458AM and Radio 1035AM breakfast shows was not available at the time of filing this article.
