RAJAR: Lyca Media “impressed” with growth of Lyca Radio & Dilse

In continuous coverage of the latest RAJAR listening figures for Q3/19 on, Lyca Media is pleased with the direction its two stations, Lyca Radio and Dilse Radio, have taken.

Latest figures showed Dilse Radio’s audience grew 41% and Lyca Radio’s audience grew 2.5% from the previous report. In total, Lyca Media stations grew by 16%, boasting a total audience of 162,000. Lyca added that it enjoyed a 32.5% growth in broadcasting hours, to a total of 1252 over the latest report period.

It is worth adding that Sunrise Radio on its own stands tall with a weekly reach of 228,000 listeners in Q3/19 data.

In a released issued by Lyca Media, it said, “The impressive results follow the appointment of Sunil Rohra as CEO in April 2019. Since then he has led a number of new initiatives including making the flagship stations available on smart devices, the launch of new segments to draw a diversified audience, partnerships with leading advertisers and the revival of ChilliTickets, a leading marketplace for South Asian event tickets.”

Over the past year, Lyca Media has steadily expanded its transmitter coverage across Dilse Radio 1035 AM, Lyca Radio and the other stations in its portfolio, allowing listeners to tune in at even greater ranges.
