Raj & Pablo to leave BBC Asian Network this summer

Popular radio duo, Raj & Pablo are set to leave the BBC Asian Network this summer, BizAsiaLive.com has learnt.

Raj & Pablo, who have been with the popular radio brand for over 20 years, are expected to step down from their weekly Bollywood show on Saturday 16th May. Raj & Pablo’s departure will coincide with a raft of changes the station will be undergoing as a part of a cost-cutting exercise.

BizAsiaLive.com understands that they will be announcing a new project soon and are also in talks with other radio stations to extend their ‘Raj & Pablo’ brand in the media.

The BBC as a whole has been under scrutiny recently by Boris Johnson’s government. It is expected to re-evaluate the BBC’s position in the current climate where the licence fee’s existence is being questioned.

BizAsiaLive.com requested Raj & Pablo for a comment but they did not comment at the time of filing this article. We have also reached out to the BBC Asian Network for a comment.
