Raj & Pablo launch Bollywood t-shirt collection

Popular BBC Asian Network personalities, Raj & Pablo have confirmed to BizAsia.co.uk that they will be launching a collection of t-shirts under the newly created brand ‘Bollywood Jollygood’.

The launch range celebrates the retro art of hand painted film posters from the Hindi film industry. The designs will be original artworks which have been hand painted by some of the last few remaining poster painters of Mumbai.The t-shirt designs have been launched in an effort to help keep alive the fading art of hand painted Indian film posters. The practice was widespread in the late 20th century, with beautiful and colourful public pieces of art on show across India, but the onset of digital printing has replaced the need for hand painting.

Raj & Pablo will be in Mumbai next week to launch their new brand. The t-shirts will be available for purchase on the website www.bollywoodjollygood.com from Thursday 1st December.

Raj & Pablo are known to be the flamboyant duo from the ‘Love Bollywood’ show on the BBC Asian Network and the ‘Bollywood Showdown’ programme on B4U Music.
