After much drama over Kapil Sharma’s exit from ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’, the Colors TV ‘CEO’, Raj Nayak has come forward to shed light over the complete controversy and eventually said that he would love to have the ace stand-up comedian back but on conditions.

While talking to Times of India, Nayak clarified that leaving Colors was solely Sharma’s decision and the channel has no much role to play in his exit. He said that Sharma not only breached the contracts signed with Colors TV but also caused monetary losses to the channel.

Despite certain issues with the comedian, Nayak loves him for the man he is and even respects his talent and also would love to have him back on the channel but on few conditions. He said, “It has been an emotional show for us. Together, Kapil and our creative team created magic. He is extremely talented, probably one of the best in this genre. We never asked him to go. He was not happy with us and implied that we couldn۪t have another comedy show on the channel. That was unacceptable to us. He is a nice guy being misled, I guess, by others around him for their own survival. I am very fond of him and feel really sad to see him go.۝

Reiterating that channel never had issues with the comedian, Nayak said that he would be happy to work with him in the future but in return, he should respect the channel’s policies. Nayak said, “My team and I love Kapil Sharma and respect his talent and would be happy to work with him in the future. The only condition being that he has to have a good set of managers and the terms of engagement should be mutually acceptable and respected.”

‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ has been replaced with ‘Comedy Nights Live’ which is being hosted by Krushna Abhishek. Since the day Sharma made his exit from the show, the channel is facing strong criticism over several social mediums from the die-hard fans of Sharma. The newly launched ‘Comedy Nights Live’ was put down by a section of viewers of the channel.
