Raj Kundra takes legal action after being linked to Bangladeshi adult film star
Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, has initiated legal proceedings after media reports linked him to Bangladeshi adult film star Riya Barde. The Juhu Police Station has lodged a case under Section 356 (3) of the Bharruya Nyay Sanhita, 2023, targeting the authors of these reports. The legal action follows a court order and is aimed at addressing what Kundra sees as an attempt to damage his reputation.
Kundra voiced his dissatisfaction with the media’s role, saying, “I’ve been forced to take this step due to continuous false and defamatory statements. Despite sending takedown notices and giving the media a chance to retract, no action was taken. My case is subjudice, and I have been fighting in court for my discharge. It’s been three years with three judges, and although it’s frustrating, I maintain my faith in the legal system. I shouldn’t be condemned by a media-driven trial.”
