Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who is known for his incredible voice with pretty much every song he sings in Bollywood, has apparently been deported from Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport because he failed to fulfill immigration conditions.
According to Mid-Day, Khan landed from Abu Dhabi to take part in New Year’s eve celebrations. However, due toPakistani nationals only being allowed to enter the country through Delhi and Mumbai, he was deported. An immigration official told PTI, “He (Khan) landed here yesterday morning. But he was denied entry as he did not fulfill immigration rules. So he was sent back (to Abu Dhabi)”.
Khan also divulged about the incident, “The authorities and I were right in our own ways and the airline in question was wrong as they should have known that as a Pakistani national which ports in India we are authorised to travel. Hence, it was their fault and I as an individual had to make this journey in 29 hours”.
The reason for Pakistani nationals not being about to enter at any other airports in the country is that Delhi and Mumbai are the only authorised points of entry.
The singer is thought to have flown to Delhi to enter the country after being sent back to Abu Dhabi.
