Radio XL in breach with Ofcom for failure to submit diversity report

Birmingham based Asian station, Radio XL has been found in breach of Ofcom regulations after failing to submit information the number of people employed in connection with the provision of their broadcast service.

Ofcom is promoting equality of opportunity in relation to employment and training by broadcasters, in terms of three of the ‘protected characteristics’ in the Equality Act 2010: gender, racial group and disability.

Radio XL was named in the latest Broadcast Bulletin published by Ofcom, along with Asian community radio station, Betar Bangla Radio. Digital station Radio Khushkhabri was also rapped.

Lyca Radio and Dilse Radio, along with Ambur Radio submitted the requested information late.
