Radio personality ‘Dr Pyscho’ passes away

Former Asian FX Radio and Club Asia Radio presenter, Brian Bogle, known on-air as Dr Pyscho has passed away.

The cause of his death is currently unknown. It is believed Bogle passed away in the presence of his family on Monday.

Tributes have been flooding in since the news became public. His former colleagues and friends have shared fond memories of working with Bogle.

Peta Cooper, who worked with Bogle at Asian FX Radio said, “Dr. Psycho was larger than life, my goodness the man defined radio banter. One thing I have to say about him, he wasn’t the type of radio presenter that only looked out from himself. He looked out for all of his colleagues and would always stand up for you against office politics. A rare trait in this industry, I will remember him fondly.”

Former Asian FX Radio presenter, Sam Sam also spoke of her memories working with Bogle, “Doc was a larger than life character, whose laugh would reach a room, before he did. I first met him when we worked together at Asian FX Radio and was immediately taken in by his bubbly personality and dedication to his craft. He was a talented, seasoned DJ and a very lively presenter. He quickly gained the respect of listeners, who loved hearing him try to speak in Panjabi. I’d spend ages trying to help him get the pronunciation correct, but we’d fall about laughing at how English he still sounded and he never took offence at that. Good times indeed. He was a truly hard working man who never seems to stop and yet still did everything he could to help others. Even after we no longer worked together, he still kept in contact, trying to entice me back into radio or into other projects and I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to know someone so selfless. You’ll be sadly missed Doc, we’ve truly lost a rare kind of character in you. Rest well big guy.”

Bogle’s last radio stint was on MiSoul Radio presenting ‘Mi Aternoons’.
