Jaggy (Jay Kiyani) is a sportsman on a downward spiral – on loan from the Premiership to the local second division side and his relationship in trouble – and a man vulnerable to Tina’s charms.

“Well, Tina’s definitely going to shake things up a bit,” says Narinder. “She’s so feisty the residents of Silver Street aren’t going to know what’s hit them. There’s also a lot more to her than you know in the beginning. It’s a brilliant role to get your teeth into – I love it.”

Narinder is a soap addict; she never misses Neighbours and EastEnders and, if she had her way, her Silver Street character would be a mixture of Charlene from Neighbours, Kat Slater and Angie Watts.
