Radio Award nominations for Friction & Rich

Music producer Rishi Rich and Radio One/Asian Network DJ Bobby Friction have been nominated at this year’s Sony Radio Awards.

Rishi Rich who can be heard on Kiss 100’s late night broadcast on Fridays with pals Jay Sean and Juggy D has been nominated in the specialist music award. He will be competing with the likes of Zane Lowe and Tim Westwood on Radio One and Andy Kershaw (Radio Three).

Incidentally Bobby Friction who won the award for Specialist show at last year’s Sony Radio Awards with Nihal has not been nominated for a show award but a news programme this year. He’s up for the ‘news programme of the year’ award for Vote Friction, a documentary he presented for Radio One.

The event takes place in London on Monday 9th May.
