Radhika Apte

After the success of the psychological thriller ‘Phobia’ (2012) starring Radhika Apte, director Pawan Kirpalani is set to make a sequel.

According to Times Of India, Kirpalani is in the process of getting the script ready. Producer Viki Rajani shares how they wanted to turn this into a franchise, “We always wanted to turn it into a franchise and were happy with the feedback we received for the original, so we decided to go ahead with Part 2. Pawan has written a brilliant story which deals with aviophobia, the fear of flying.” He added that this film will still have the elements of horror, suspense and thrill, but increasing their production values at the same time.

However, Rajani revealed that Apte will not be the leading lady for the sequel, instead they will be looking for another established actress. “Radhika did a tremendous job with ‘Phobia’ and carried the film on her shoulders. But now we are looking for another established actress and will begin casting in February.”
