Radhika Apte enjoyed working on ‘Padman’

Radhika Apte has spoken about her experience working on R Balki’s next movie, ‘Padman’. The actress will be playing Akshay Kumar’s wife in the social-awareness drama, and also stars Sonam Kapoor.

“It has been a great experience working with both R Balki and Akshay Kumar and Sonam is a lovely friend of mine and is an amazing person,” said the actress as reported in AsianAge.

The film, which is based on the story of Padma Shri Arunachalam Muruganantham who revolutionised menstrual hygiene by inventing a machine which manufactures sanitary towels, is being treated in a sensitive manner. “It is a sensitive subject which needs to be addressed and come out and I am sure they are doing justice to it. I am looking forward to watch it on the big screen upon its release,” added Apte.

The film is due to be released in April 2018.
