Raaj FM teams up with Edgbaston Cricket

Birmingham’s Punjabi community radio station, Raaj FM has announced its new partnership with the Edgbaston Cricket Ground.

The deal will see the two parties provide a service to Edgbaston’s Indian supporters, including: offering information about Test matches and Edgbaston as a venue for the Punjabi community; utilising the Raaj FM offices as a ticket outlet for matches; and supporting Raaj FM’s summer Mela on Sunday 3rd July 2011.

Helen Clarke, Head of ticketing at Edgbaston, said, “At Edgbaston, we are really excited to be working with Raaj FM as a media partner. We know that there is a huge cricket fan base in Raaj FM listeners; so we are looking forward to offering some really great ticket offers and promotions.

“We’re taking cricket to the community, and with the anticipation for the India Test match and the return of the famous Sachin Tendulkar, this is a fantastic time to get involved!”

Gajan Singh, Director of Raaj FM, added, “We are absolutely delighted that we are now Edgbaston’s Asian Media Partner. All of our listeners are massive cricket lovers and Tendulkar fans – so they want to snap up the tickets for the England vs India Test match as soon as possible. Raaj FM is a community station which serves the Sandwell Panjabi community with information and programmes with social, cultural, educational, youth, religious, music, sports, disabled and minority activities and interests.
