R Madhavan trains at NASA for ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’

Lead actor of ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’, Sushant Singh Rajput, trained at NASA for preparation for the film. News has it that R Madhavan is also a part of the film and has also headed to NASA for some training as he will also be essaying the role of an astronaut.

“Over the first few days, I was putting on different space suits and learning all about their functionality. I was shocked when I heard how much space suit costs. They are my new toys,” said Madhavan, according to Bollywood Life.

The actor has had a helping hand from John Palmer, the special effects director. Madhavan continued, “John helped me understand the technical aspects of each suit. Since he has worked on a bunch of Hollywood films – Geostorm (2017), Apollo 18 (2011) and The Astronaut Farmer (2006) – he gives me a great reference point to work on. Be it talking me through the process of getting into the suits or explaining safety measures, or helping me train under water, John has done it all”.

Shraddha Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are also said to have been roped in for the film which is a Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan directorial.
