R Madhavan to replace Abhishek Bachchan in ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ sequel?

Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji had made the world sit up and notice their on-screen chemistry and antics in 2005’s ‘Bunty Aur Babli’, and with a sequel reportedly in the works, their appearances were expected. Although, rumor has it that it will not be Bachchan but R. Madhavan who will be making his presence felt.

A trade source says that Bachchan has opted out of the film. “The lead cast for this film will be Gully Boy Siddhant Chaturvedi and newcomer Sharvari Wagh. Earlier, Rani and Abhishek were to play extended cameos in the film, but Abhi has stepped out and Madhavan has stepped in especially with Shaad (Ali) not directing the film,” as according to Deccan Chronicle.

Madhavan was last seen in ‘Zero’ (2018).
