Qawwali track to be added to ‘Zero’?

With the trailer already creating huge excitement amongst fans, garnering over 92 million views already, it has been announced that the makers of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Zero’ are looking to add a qawwali track, which wasn’t considered previously.

Reported on Asian Age, the makers of ‘Zero’ feel this late addition to the film soundtrack will certainly turn the entertainment factor up a notch. A source reveals both Khan and director Aanand L. Rai are putting the plans together for the qawwali number. “The director and Shah Rukh Khan are planning to shoot a qawwali song for the film. The music director and singers, who are assigned the job of recording this qawwali number, are from the Marathi film industry. They will soon begin recording. We are not yet sure of their names though.”

The source then shares that shooting for this film will happen towards the end of next week. “This qawwali song will be shot only after November 30, at Film City. So, the shooting schedule should start in the first week of December.”

Khan and Rai also feel this qawwali song will also add a fun element to the film, but how this track will look on screen will only be revealed nearer the time, hinted the source, “Now you guys will have to wait and watch the film, to know if this qawwali number will be of the godly kind or if it will feature SRK contesting against the leading ladies of the film.”

‘Zero’ will see Khan take on an unique avatar as a dwarf called Bauua Singh, and starring alongside him are Anushka Sharma who is his love interest and Katrina Kaif who will be essaying the role of a superstar.

The film is slated to release on the 21st December.
