Punjabi Radio replaces Sunrise’s Yarr on Sky

Sunrise Radio’s digital Punjabi radio service has replaced the group’s youth station Yarr Radio on Sky Digital.

Punjabi Radio, which launched in August 2006 has up until now only been available on the Wolverhampton and London multiplexes. Incidently Yarr Radio was also replaced by Punjabi Radio when it launched. It is based at Sunrise Radio’s headquarters in Southall and broadcasts to the West Midlands and Greater London.

Last year, Punjabi Radio broadcast a 30-day RSL (Restricted Service Licence) to coincide with parent company Sunrise Radio’s three-day Asian Lifestyle Show at Birmingham’s NEC.

Punjabi Radio is available on Sky Digital channel 0187.
