Punit Malhotra ropes in Akshay Kumar for ��Gutka�۪

Director Punit Malhotra is gearing up for his next release, ��Gori Tere Pyaar Mein�۪, later this month. However, BizAsia has learnt that he has roped in Akshay Kumar for his next venture, titled ��Gutka�۪.

Malhotra admits that ��Gutka�۪ will be away from the love story genre he has become known for. He revealed to IANS, ���I am making a drama…my next film ‘Gutka’. Akshay plays the lead in the film. It’s a drama and it’s a completely different film from what I have made earlier�۝. Malhotra went on to say that a leading actress is yet to be finalised and the script is still being worked on.

Talking about the pairing of Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in ��Gori Tere Pyaar Mein�۪, Malhotra expresses, ���In the film, it is nicely established that Kareena is elder to Imran. They are an unusual pair. I wanted to work with Imran again (after I Hate Luv Storys) and the film was written keeping him in mind. As far as the girl in the film is concerned, only Kareena could have pulled off this role�۝.

‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ is slated for release on 22nd November.
