Punit Goenka felicitated by Maharashtra Mandal at House of Commons London
Punit Goenka, Managing Director and CEO of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), has been awarded the Global Pride of Maharashtra Award by Maharashtra Mandal London.
The recognition, awarded by the 92-year-old charitable organisation and presented by UK MP Joy Morrisey, celebrates Goenka’s contributions to the Media & Entertainment industry and his role in advancing India’s global media presence.
Under Goenka’s leadership, ZEE has grown into a media powerhouse, expanding its reach to over 190 countries and attracting a viewership of 1.3 billion people. ZEE’s global influence includes more than 70 TV channels and the popular streaming platform ZEE5, known for producing over 500 hours of original content weekly. Goenka’s vision has positioned ZEE as a major player in international entertainment, delivering diverse, high-quality programming to audiences worldwide.
Parul Goel accepted the award on Goenka’s behalf at the event, which highlighted Maharashtra’s leading global figures in business and culture.
