Pulkit Samrat: “I don’t believe in the concept of marriage”

Winning the hearts of all with his comical timing and witty attitude in films like ‘Fukrey Returns’ (2017), Pulkit Samrat has had a successful ride with his recent films but on the personal front, his views on marriage are somewhat unorthodox.

Samrat split up from his wife, Shweta Rohira, allegedly after rumours of his link-up started with ‘Sanam Re’ (2016) co-star Yami Gautam. Since then, Samrat and Gautam have reportedly also ended their alleged affair.

Talking about marriage, he stated in Filmfare, “I don’t believe in the concept of marriage. It is just for the society – a legal certificate to show the society. Love is the base of every marriage and I believe in the concept of love, yes, if there’s love that escalates to the wedding then it’s a different thing. Going ahead if I fall in love then let’s see how it goes ahead.”

Samrat’s last film ‘Veere Ki Wedding’ proved a box office disappointment.
