Public appearances halted for Deepika Padukone?

After Deepika Padukone’s life was threatened over the ‘Padmavati’ row, it seems the actress has been advised not to step out very often for events.

The film’s release has been pushed and all promotional activities have also been paused. The actress’s security has been increased. Senior Mumbai police office Deven Bharti told PTI, “We are providing her adequate security after the threat… The police will provide security at her residence (Bangalore) as well as office in Mumbai”.

Padukone’s ‘Padmavati’ co-stars have been seen out and about and attending events; going about their commitments as usual. However, the actress has been told to keep a low profile for the time being until this controversy takes a turn for the better.
