PTV Global announces new shows for January 2015

PTV Global has announced a slew of new shows to spruce up its primetime viewing.

Talking to BizAsia, the channel said, “PTV Corporation has spent a huge amount and bought top dramas, sitcom and telefilm from top Pakistani production companies. PTV Global will be tweaking its peak-time fictions line-up with new season programing. PTV Global is confident that after this line-up its BARB rating will improve.”

The shows, which air currently on PTV Home in Pakistan, will be launched to tweak PTV Global’s 18:00 – 21:00 primetime viewing. Some of the new shows launching in January are: ‘Tum Tu Aisay Na Thay’, ‘Nigehbaan’, ‘Ye Chahtain Yeh Ranjishain’, ‘Mera Na khuda Koi Nahi’, ‘Oos’, ‘Jeena Dushwar Sahi’, ‘Main Baraye Farukht’, ‘Dard’, ‘Code Name Red’ and ‘Kharash’.

Currently PTV Global broadcasts classic dramas such as ‘Khawaja & Sons’, ‘Kiran Khani’, ‘Aagaan Tera’, ‘Burger Family’, ‘Doop Kinaray’ and ‘Guest House’, between 22:00 – 23:30.

PTV Global attracts a weekly reach around 200,000 viewers in official UK ratings.
