PTC Punjabi announces winner of ‘Mr. Punjab’ ’15

PTC Punjabi declared Amandeep Singh as the winner of this year’s ‘Mr. Punjab’ at a grand event in Mohali.

Amandeep finished his graduation and is a Bollywood aspirant, with the hope of becoming the first turbaned Sikh actor in Bollywood. It is this aspiration that brought Amandeep to compete in Mr Punjab, and now he is the winner of the same. The first runner-up was named as��Mandheer Singh from Giddarbaha, District Muktsar, who is a Hospital Manager, and aspires to become an successful actor. In third place was Ravinder Singh Pawar from Sanaur, Patiala – a Mechanical Engineer. He is currently pursuing PG in theatre & television and aspires to work in meaningful Punjabi cinema.

The night also saw the announcement of PTC Motion Picture�۪s first telefilm ‘Kuknoos’, whose teaser and poster was revealed for the first time by Ms Rajiee M Shinde (CEO & Director ��� PTC Network), Mr. Rabindra Narayan( President ��� PTC Network), and the starcast of the Film.

Ms. Rajiee M Shinde ��� CEO PTC Network, the ever charming lady force behind the grand show said, ���Within one year of launch of Mr Punjab on PTC Punjabi, the scale of the completion has really soared. It is honour to give the youth of Punjab such a welcome platform to showcase their strengths.�۝

Mr. Rabindra Narayan ��� President PTC Network opined, ���Tough elimination rounds have narrowed down the competition from thousands of enterprising and talented participants to nine finalists, one of whom would walk away with not only Mr Punjab crown but also a car, 1 lac cash prize and an opportunity to anchor PTC Punjabi shows telecast in India and internationally.�۝

Shinde further added, ���Kuknoos is an small initiative to take Punjabi Cinema into next Level with different Genre of films, variety of Scripts, Directors and Technicians. PTC Punjabi & PTC Motion pictures now brings the tale of untold stories by different directors and writers from the Pollywood and Bollywood industry. A series of Short telefilms about 60-90 minutes each called PTC BOX OFFICE reaching the huge Global Punjabi speaking Audience in India and Overseas for the first time through television medium. Kuknoos, starring Nav Bajwa and is about a young Man who looses his all, and then rises from ashes to shine and emerge.�۝

The show opened with a fantastic medley by Mani Entertainers, while the versatile Anchor Satinder Satti introduced the judges – Sukhshinder Shinda, Sartaj, Harish Verma and Ravinder Grewal. With the performance of the singer Anmol Gagan Mann the tone for the evening was set to a high flying start. The ���Punjabo�۝ lady had the lads swooning to her foot tapping numbers and gyrating lyrics. Jazzy B, Kulwinder Billa and Ravinder Grewal also performed on the night.

Sunny Deol and the entire team of ‘Ghayal Once Again’ – Diana Khan, Shivam Patil and Rishabh Arora, revealed the theatrical, shook a leg and Sunny then spoke about his film requesting audiences to support the film as much as they supported his ‘Ghayal’ many years ago.

It is worth mentioning that Prince Narula, current ‘Big Boss 9’ winner was the second runner-up of ‘Mr Punjab 2014’.
