The first song ‘Besharam Rang’ from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Pathaan’ has caused a stir amongst a section of the Hindu community.

Reports say that the Veer Shivaji group has marched up and down the streets of Indore where they have burnt effigies of Khan. The protesters claim that the song has offended the sentiments of the Hindu community and has demanded a ban on its January release.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra also expressed his displeasure at the release of the sultry song, in which Padukone is seen in various bikini outfits. At an event, he said, “I feel the title of the song ‘Besharam Rang’ is also objectionable in its sense. The song is made with contaminated mentality, the actor and the actress are clad in green and saffron clothes in an objectionable manner.”

‘Pathaan’ also stars John Abraham. It releases in January 2023.
