Programming rejig on 9X UK this month

One of India’s most popular channels 9X has confirmed to BizAsia.co.uk that it is revamping its primetime schedule in the UK and increasing its original output.

Come Monday 22nd September, 9X will launch two new shows – the first being its much awaited epic drama ‘Kahaani Hamaarey Mahabhaarat Ki’ produced by Balaji Telefilms. The series launched in India in July and has proved a ratings winner for the broadcaster.

Also making its debut in the UK will be drama ‘Kahe Naa Kahe’, which too has received an encouraging response in India. It launched back in November last year as one of the channel’s opening shows. ‘Kahe Naa Kahe’ is a refreshing story of a small-town, ordinary girl with extraordinary dreams. And for this show, producer Ekta Kapoor has discovered an exciting young talent who she believes will be the next mega star on Indian television.

‘Kahaani Hamaarey Mahabhaarat Ki’ will air Monday to Thursday at 22:00. ‘Kahe Naa Kahe’ will air Monday to Thursday at 22:30.

Furthermore, Sunday night movies will air at 20:30 as oppose to 20:00 currently from Sunday 7th September. ‘Remote Control’ shifts to 19:30 Monday to Thursday from Monday 16th September.
