We just spoke last evening at 5 pm. He went for his usual morning walk today, came back and collapsed. And he was gone.”
“He was my friend, my guide, the backbone of the guild. My association with him is since 12-14 years. Past 6 weeks, he is in Dharamshala but he has been constantly working from there. We were constantly holding webinars with studios and multiplexes together,” he added.
Makkar had been appointed the CEO position at the Guild since 2010, and received much acclaim and respect for his work
