Producer overwhelmed by ‘Udta Punjab’ trailer response

Last week saw the unveiling of the much-awaited ‘Udta Punjab’ which stars Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Doshanjh. Producers Balaji Motion Pictures have been overwhelmed by the response it has received.

Ruchikaa Kapoor, Marketing Head, Balaji Motion Pictures, told Box Office India, “In just six days, we have reached 10 million hits for the trailer, which has become a talking point and everyone is amazed to see how we have portrayed Punjab in a never-seen-before avatar. The film features a new-age, multi-star cast and the idea was to come out with each character one by one. So we started revealing one character every day. This sent the Internet into a tizzy, when the audience saw their favourite stars in new avatars. We are completely overwhelmed by the response”.

No doubt all eyes are now on the promotions for the film and one wonders what the cast and team have in store.

‘Udta Punjab’ is an Abhishek Chaubey directorial slated for release on 17th June.
