Priyanks Chopra sings for international film not for Bollywood?

When her single ‘In My City’ (2013) took the world by storm, Priyanka Chopra was overloaded with singing offers from Bollywood. However she had turned them down, as it was reported that her contract forbade her to playback sing for films. In spite of the there is news that the actress-singer will be singing for an international film.

Rising controversy as to why Chopra has turned Bollywood down and not the international offer, Mid-Day��reports��Devraj Sanyal, managing director of Universal Music explaining, “We own PC�۪s musical life between Universal Music Goup, Interscope Records (a UMG) and some allied labels, all part of the UMG family. As a consortium and with her okay we have the ability to place her anywhere when the deal represents her best.”

He goes into state how Chopra is also owned by other major agencies and they all agree to present Chopra so that she gets the right publicity. A friend of Chopra also reportedly went onto explain, “It was not that she could not sing for a Bollywood film because she was under contract from her music label. But she could not perform live. Also the music company has many plans lined up with regards to her playback singing. In fact, Priyanka too has said that depending on the opportunity and the track in question, she would love to sing for a Bollywood film.”
