Priyanka-Kareena lock horns for ��Satyagraha�۪

The battle for supremacy between B-Town’s ladies seems to be getting murkier. Just a couple of weeks ago, Priyanka Chopra nearly snatched ��Ram Leela�۪ from Kareena Kapoor, only to be ousted from the project and replaced by Deepika Padukone. Now the race is on to bag the female lead in Prakash Jha�۪s ��Satyagraha�۪ which has Ajay Devgn in the lead.

Jha�۪s films almost always have a strong central female character ��� even a non actress like Katrina Kaif shone in his ��Raajneeti�۪, so naturally a role in his next would be keenly sought after.

Rumour had it that Kareena Kapoor had pretty much bagged the film, but now it seems Chopra is being considered for the same role too.

A source very close to Jha told Business of Cinema, ���Prakash has zeroed in on Kareena. But last week he received a message from Priyanka saying she was interested in doing ��Satyagraha�۪. Prakash didn�۪t take that seriously. But a few days ago Priyanka�۪s secretary Chand Mishra met Prakash and urged him to hold on with the final decision until she returns from the US in September after recording her music album.�۝

���Who told you this? I am not saying anything,�۝ said Jha declining to comment.
