Priyanka Chopra has worked with almost all of the top stars in recent times but the one name that was missing from her list was that of Imran Khan. However,��BizAsia has learnt that Chopra and Khan are now all set to feature in Tigmanshu Dhulia�۪s upcoming small town romance ��Milan Talkies�۪.
Rumour had it that earlier, Sonakshi Sinha was supposed to star with Khan but talks fell through and the makers decided to approach Chopra instead.
When contacted by The Times of India, the CEO of producers Balaji Motion Pictures, Tanuj Garg refrained from revealing the name of the actress but said that they were “speaking to someone and will make a formal announcement once ready.”
“Sonakshi was never signed so the question of replacing her doesn’t arise,” added Garg.
However, a source close to Chopra maintained that the actress has indeed accepted the offer to star opposite Khan in the film.
“The crux of the story is that though the communication has become easy thanks to mobile phones and everything, it is still very difficult to fall in love in small towns. Priyanka loved the subject and wanted to work with Tigmanshu,” concluded the source.
