Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Ram Leela’ item song a modern mujra

With the release of the film drawing close, Priyanka Chopra has revealed a few details about her item song that she will be seen in, in the forthcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, ‘Ram-Leela’.

With the first look of the actress in the song, showing her dressed in white and posing in a rather seductive manner, NDTV��report Chopra explaining, “The song is very different and special because I am a huge fan of Mr Bhansali. It’s a modern��mujra��which you all have not seen for a long time. It’s a��mujra, but modern. It’s got Indian music and vibes, but still western and contemporary.”

Her excitement for the film is very evident, however she goes on to say, that preparing for the dance number was not all plain sailing, “It has got a different look, different form of dancing and I didn’t have time to rehearse. I used to rehearse at night.”

Earlier rumours expressed how Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had been approached for the song where it was turned down, then offered to Chopra.

Starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as the leads, ‘Ram-Leela’ will hit the big screens in November.
