Priyanka Chopra’s father battling with cancer once again

It has been evident from tweets and news about Priyanka Chopra over the last few months that she has been worried about her father, Ashok Chopra, who has been unwell. It is with sadness that BizAsia now reports that he is currently critically ill in hospital once again.

Reports suggest that Ashok is once again fighting a battle with cancer which has returned again. A friend of the actress’s confirmed the news. So much so has Ashok’s condition worsened that Chopra has opted out of rehearsals for the forthcoming Mary Kom biopic that she is in the midst of in order to be with her father and family at this difficult time.

A source from the crew confirmed, “Priyanka was religiously attending each and every rehearsal. She doesn�۪t talk about her father�۪s illness with anyone. Nothing in her outward behaviour suggests anything irregular in her life. Only her close friends know what she is going through”.

The last time Chopra’s father became ill, she was shooting for ‘Bluffmaster’ (2005) but didn’t share her thoughts with anyone then either.
