Priyanka Chopra’s ex set to make film on her life?

In a first, the first few years of Priyanka Chopra’s rise to stardom will soon be seen on celluloid and that too thanks to her ex-lover Aseem Merchant.

Merchant has returned to the limelight after years of disappearance with his own production company, ironically called Limelight Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd. The first project will be a film on Chopra which will complete seeing her manager, Prakash Jaju, being jailed. Jaju, in his account of events, is believed to have said that Chopra refused to pay him back money that was owef to him. Chopra’s father ended up filing a police report against him and after a short period of hiding, was eventually arrested in Madhya Pradesh. Talking to Mumbai Mirror, Merchant said, “The film will depict everybody who interacted with Jaju while he was working with Priyanka”. He also said his equation with Chopra was over and a little reluctantly said he is very proud of her achievements.

Jaju himself commented on the forthcoming film, “I’m fine with Aseem’s film. It chronicles Priyanka’s life from the day she entered the film industry till I was put in jail.”

Merchant and Chopra were in a relationship when she won the Miss World pageant in 2000 but separated two years after.
