There is no end of Priyanka Chopra’s talents, it seems. The actress is reeling from the rave reviews of ‘Barfi!’ and also the release of her debut international single ‘In My City’. It seems this week is perhaps one of the most memorable for the ex Miss World.
The actress-cum-singer spoke to Deccan Chronicle about ‘Barfi!’ and ‘In My City’. She said, “I am nervous_ my hands are shaking. I was reading the reviews of my performance in Barfi all day and now I am releasing the record. Tomorrow I will spend the day listening to what you (media) think about the song”.
She gave her thoughts about her single, “I wanted India to be a part of the album hence the music is Indian and album producer, RedOne, has used a lot of desi instruments. I want the world to get a taste of our culture. The album is in English, which will allow it to reach out to global audience, but the heart is Indian. Universal understood what I meant and reiterated the same in the album. I would love to perform live too. It۪s just the beginning of a new journey.”
Chopra also shared her excitement about being Unicef ambassador, “I have associated with NGOs that promote the welfare of the girl child in the past too. I do my bit in order to enhance their progress. Recently, I donated a few sewing machines to them so that they can earn their daily bread. I am the national brand ambassador for Unicef and will work on the cause”.
It certainly seems that this lady has a lot going for herself and what with the international world with its eyes on her, she seems ready, willing and capable of giving it her best shot and wowing in a way only she knows best. BizAsia wish her all the very best for her ongoing and forthcoming success.
