Priyanka Chopra: “The villain’s role in Baywatch was written for a man”

Priyanka Chopra finally put rumours to rest after she confirmed plans to star in Hollywood movie ‘Baywatch’ with Dwayne Johnson.

In an interview cited in Hindustan Times, Chopra elaborated further on how she bagged the negative role, which was intended for a male star. She said, ���I met the director actually on Skype. The script had come to me through my agent and the negative part was actually written for a man, and I spoke to the director for another role in the film. And he liked the idea of me playing the negative role despite being a woman. So the script was worked on.”

Talking about her co-star Johnson, Chopra said, ���He�۪s great. He�۪s someone who really understands what the business of cinema is and I really admire that. Again, he�۪s someone who comes from a completely different career path and he�۪s now a movie star. I admire that. It was fun getting to know him. It was the first time I met him in Miami.�۝

She also spoke about the recent success in her life, ���2016 has had a great start. The last two months have been phenomenal and I feel blessed. I will continue to give my best.”
