Priyanka Chopra stops Ranbir-Kareena stage debut?

There was talk of Ranbir Kapoor and his cousin Kareena Kapoor making their debut together on stage on the popular TV show ‘Indian Idol’ but things did not go as planned and reports suggest it was down to Priyanka Chopra.

Producers at the Sony Entertainment Television Asia show wanted both cousins to appear together on stage to promote their films ‘Barfi’ and ‘Heroine’, however the issue between the two actresses prevented that from happening. The war between Chopra and Kapoor commenced during Karan Johar’s ‘Koffee With Karan’ series last year and have barely seen eye to eye since.

A source told Mid-Day, “In the context of the Kapoor family being a part of Bollywood since the last 80 years, it�۪s sad that Kareena and her cousin Ranbir have never appeared together on the stage ever. The makers of the show wanted to make this possible.”

The source adds, “Everyone realised that it would not be possible to get Kareena and RK�۪s co-star Priyanka Chopra on the same stage. That�۪s why Ranbir shot his portions on Friday whereas Kareena went live on the show.”
