Priyanka Chopra sets aside music career for acting

At a time where her acting career was reaching new heights, Priyanka Chopra came out to the world with her singing debut. With the world gearing up for more music from the Bollywood beauty, she found herself juggling her acting career in India and releasing another song in the US. However, as her acting career going as strong as ever, Chopra hasn’t spent much time in the studio for her music.

When asked about what her next plans for her music career are,��Hindustan Times report the actress explaining, “I have no answer to that. I honestly haven�۪t given much thought to that yet. I�۪ll be honest, it is on the back-burner for a bit. I miss spending time in the studio, and making music. I hope I get to do it soon again. But right now, I am prioritising my show and my movies. Hopefully, between all of that, if I get the time, I�۪ll do something [in music].”

Chopra’s stint in her hit American TV show ‘Quantico’ is being appreciated by critics and viewers alike, reaching out to people all over the world, and she is determined to stick to keeping her acting career going. “I love Hindi films, and I cannot see myself, as an actor, not being part of Hindi movies. There�۪s a reason they call me ��desi girl�۪, you know? My priority has always been getting a great part in a great film, whether that�۪s in Hindi or in English. As long as it is up to my standards, I�۪d be open to working in it, whether it�۪s in Bollywood or in Hollywood,” Chopra expressed.

Chopra’s next Bollywood release will be Prakash Jha’s ‘Jai Gangaajal’ which is set to hit the big screens in March.
