Priyanka Chopra set to co-produce Hindi film

After venturing out in Punjabi and Marathi cinema with her recent releases, Priyanka Chopra is rumoured to be working on a script to co-produce her first Hindi film.

Times Of India reports that her banner Purple Picture Productions will tie-up with Viacom18 Motion Pictures for a Hindi film.

Chopra told the publication, “I think with my heart and not my head. I am instinctive but not impulsive. And money is not the end goal. If it was, I wouldn’t be producing regional films whose reach is limited. It’s so much easier to make money as a Hindi film producer. But we are still a small company and new as producers. We still have a lot to learn.”

Asked if she would be writing the script herself, she added, “I’m not that talented. I love writing. I’ve worked with the most talented writers in the world – in Hindi cinema and on Quantico. I don’t have enough knowledge yet, but I am overlooking the screenwriting process.”
