Priyanka Chopra on father’s death: “Don’t know if I’ve healed but doesn’t hurt anymore”

It has been a tough few days for popular actress Priyanka Chopra, whose maternal grandmother passed away on 3rd June.

As reported by Hindustan Times, the Bajirao Mastaani’ (2015) superstar commented saying, “My grandmother raised me till I was about six or seven. I was close to her. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. If I had to go, that�۪s how I�۪d want to go.�۝

Evidenced by the tattoo on her wrist which pens ‘Daddy’s Lil Princess’ in her father’s handwriting and the private moments she shares on social media pages Instagram and Twitter dedicated in his honour, Priyanka Chopra was clearly close to Dr Ashok Chopra, whom she lost to cancer in 2013. Commenting on his absence, Chopra shared, “His death has been a big blow. I still haven�۪t dealt with it. I don�۪t know if I�۪ve healed, but it doesn�۪t hurt either. I don�۪t think I have accepted it. I feel like I�۪m travelling all over the world, and dad will be home when I return. I think grief becomes your constant companion. You just learn to live with it.”
